The Village Mission Valley Community Pool Facilities Renovation

PACE provided aquatic consulting services for six different bodies of water for an existing apartment community for The Irvine Company. The design included a new 4,700-square-foot lap pool, an existing large 4,800-square-foot pool, an existing small 1,500-square-foot pool, and three spas between 71 and 75 square feet. The pools are skimmer style with a plaster finish. The pool renovations included replacing coping, depth markers, handrails, grab rails, pool lights, and plaster.

New lap pool

• Skimmer pool, plaster finish
• Area: 4,700 square feet; Volume: 177,000 gallons
• Scope: new pool construction

Existing large pool

• Skimmer pool, plaster finish
• Area: 4,800 square feet; Volume: 137,000 gallons
• Scope: replaced coping, depth marker, handrails, and grabrails; re-located pool step inserts, replaced pool lights; and re-plastered.

Existing small pool

• Skimmer pool, plaster finish
• Area: 1,500 square feet; Volume: 44,000 gallons
• Scope: replaced coping, depth markers, handrails, and grabrails; relocated pool step inserts, replaced pool lights; and re-plastered.

Existing spas

• Skimmer spa, plaster finish
• Right Spa: Area: 71 square feet; Volume: 1,600 gallons
• Middle Spa: Area: 75 square feet; Volume: 1,700 gallons
• Left Spa: Area: 71 square feet; Volume: 1,600 gallons
• Scope: replaced coping, depth marker, handrails, and pool lights; and re-plastered.
