PACE applied advanced water treatment knowledge and technology to improve aquaculture management and create a sustainable, environmentally friendly technology that raises high quality of Pacific white shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei). Water quality is a major concern of any aquaculture facility, so water parameters such as pH, salinity, temperature, total dissolved solids, nitrogen, and dissolved oxygen among others are carefully controlled to ensure shrimp thrive in an environment to maximize growth rate and health. The wastewater generated during the production process is treated and is recycled due within a custom-designed water recirculation system. The shrimp are sold live maximizing freshness and optimizing taste. Without the use of antibiotics or toxic chemicals, this small footprint system is a reliable technology that produces healthy, naturally-grown shrimp.
