Electrical Engineering

PACE’s electrical engineers work closely with civil, structural, and process engineering teams to develop reliable, code-compliant electrical systems that support critical public infrastructure. Our team has extensive expertise in electrical systems for water and wastewater facilities, including pump stations, groundwater wells, booster stations, reservoirs, and treatment plants, where reliable power distribution, motor control systems, and standby power are essential for safe and continuous operation. By integrating electrical engineering early in the design process, PACE ensures that electrical systems are coordinated with facility layout, process equipment, and operational requirements. Our engineers routinely perform power system studies such as short-circuit analysis, protective device coordination, and arc flash hazard assessments in accordance with NFPA 70E, IEEE 1584, and applicable utility standards to support safe and reliable operation of electrical infrastructure.

While electrical engineering is frequently performed in support of PACE’s civil engineering projects, our electrical team also collaborates with other civil engineering firms as a subconsultant providing specialized electrical expertise. This approach allows civil engineering firms to access experienced electrical engineers who understand the electrical infrastructure requirements of municipal facilities without maintaining a full-time in-house electrical group. PACE’s electrical engineers combine advanced analytical tools with practical field experience to deliver electrical systems that are reliable, maintainable, and fully integrated with the operational needs of water and wastewater infrastructure.
