Celebrating a New City – Mountain House, CA
It’s not often that a new city has the chance to be carefully planned out from start to finish and across the entire expanse of its geographic coverage. Mountain House,a wholly master-planned community located in San Joaquin County, was incorporated as California’s 483rd and newest city in July 2024. PACE has been honored to support the planning and design of the water, sewer, and stormwater infrastructure since its early conception.
With this forward-thinking and organized planning, the city seized opportunities to implement smart and efficient water resource solutions, such as restoring the 2.6-mile-long Mountain House Creek to serve as the backbone to the community’s stormwater infrastructure and a focal point for open space, trails, and local wildlife. PACE also recently completed the second expansion of the Mountain House Water Reclamation Facility, converting the treatment process to a membrane bioreactor (MBR) with a capacity of 5.4 MGD.
