Belle Haven Community Campus – Menlo Park, CA
The Belle Haven Community Campus in Menlo Park, CA, received a 2025 Green Building Honorable Mention in recognition of its sustainable design and net-zero energy usage. PACE designed state-of-the-art energy-efficient aquatic facilities for the project, featuring a six-lane lap pool, an activity pool, and a splash pad.
To support the City’s goal of achieving a LEED platinum certification, PACE worked with the project architect, Hart Howerton, to evaluate all-electric pool heating system options that eliminate the need for fossil fuels. A solar thermal system was selected that collects heat from the solar photovoltaic panels in the campus parking lot to heat the pools.
