The City of Sierra Vista and PACE received the American Public Works Association (APWA) Arizona Chapter Award for improvements to the 4 MGD Environmental Operations Park (EOP) Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP), for its visionary approach to improving effluent water quality and treatment for the existing system, while achieving a 50% reduction in energy costs, supporting a wetlands facility and protecting the aquifer and San Pedro River Basin.
